After a slew of delays, the represses of both the GAS RAG - HUMAN RIGHTS EP and the MERCY KILLINGS - S/T EP have finally arrived at BIR HQ. Nerd stats: GAS RAG is the 3rd press of 500 copies with yellow and green center labels and the MERCY KILLINGS EP is the 2nd press with green and black center labels limited to 330 copies. Should your store / distro fancy any copies, drop me a line for wholesale rates. Interesting trades will also be considered.
In other news, the arrival of the GAS RAG - BEATS OFF MLP is getting closer and closer! The powers that be are informing me that these should (hopefully) be in my hands come mid-April, barring any shenanigans possibly caused by the infamous white folks holiday that happens around the same time. Anyways, the plan is for the band to DEFINITELY have copies at NEW YORK'S ALRIGHT, so if you're going to that shindig chances are looking pretty damn good that you'll be able to nab a copy in person from the band. Two songs from the record are available for your sampling; the first via a bad ass music video that the band made and the second from the ever so trusty B.I.R. Soundcloud. Also, for all of you Europeans out there that hate the shit postage that comes with ordering from America - fear not! My main man Noel at Even Worse Records will be handling the European release of this stellar record, so be sure to holler at him for a copy once they're available come April. Anyways, more information on that as it develops.
Here's some more label news:
-The "HARDCORE: GIMME SOME MORE" compilation is moving along at a snail's pace (as per usual) but hey, I got a track from S.H.I.T. the other day and it is THE SHIT!!! By the way I am no longer accepting submissions for this, the lineup is set... now I just wait for slow ass bands (my own included) to actually capture the magic in the studio... so stay tuned!!
-I've got a slew of releases planned for this year and I'm usually hush hush until I get close to getting the ball rolling on them. So now that the music has been sent off for this, I figured I'd let y'all know that BIR-012 will be the debut 7" from BLOOD PRESSURE, a band from Pittsburgh, PA that is absolutely ape shit. I'm legitimately excited to be apart of this and will be sure to post a track on the Soundcloud once we get a bit closer to the release. In the meantime, the band is selling copies of their demo tape. Holler at Eric via radiationmasturbation[at]gmail[dot]com if ya fancy a tape, there's only 100 made so get on that! I'm gonna try to get some for the webstore as well.
-Both the OBLITERATION - WAR IS OUR DESTINY EP and the MOD SUBS - PRIMITIVE BY TODAY'S STANDARDS LP are down to their last half a dozen copies each. There are no plans to repress either of these, so if they tickle your fancy get you some!!
