Greetings! It's been quite the summer to say the very least and I am rather ecstatic to end it with this monster of a record finally seeing the light of day. Ecstatic is probably an understatement to be honest. Let me just say that hearing this record for the first time around March or April, after having sampled the deluge of works that the hardcore punk world had spewed upon me at that point in 2016, was absolutely invigorating! Anyways, I'll leave it at that, enough of my jibber jabber, here's the info:
NYC hardcore punks WARTHOG return with what could possibly be their best recorded output yet. It's been a couple years since their EP's on Katorga Works and Iron Lung Records were unleashed upon us all and in that time the members of the Hog have perfected their particular formula and have finally delivered four more tracks of pounding hardcore savagery that stands out ten fold from most of the bullshit that fans of the genre are bombarded with on a regular basis. Are you a functioning human in a functioning world? Each record comes in a glue pocket sleeve along with a two color risograph printed insert.
There are 200 copies on Opaque Cream vinyl that are available for mailorder here via the Beach Impediment Records webstore.
**UPDATE: COLOR VINYL IS GONE, SOLD OUT IN A FEW HOURS.**
You can hear a track from the record here via the Beach Impediment Records Soundcloud.
The record is also streaming in its entirety via the new Beach Impediment Records Bandcamp here (also, expect more B.I.R. jams from the past 5 years to be uploaded to that new Bandcamp in the coming weeks!)
Any questions and/or wholesale orders can be directed to beachimpediment[at]gmail[dot]com
And just a heads up for all my friends across the pond, this record has a European press that is out now compliments of the always stellar STATIC SHOCK RECORDS, so if you're over there please grab it from them and save yourself the ridiculous shipping costs that come with dealing with the USPS.
The following distros / stores will have copies of the record soon, if not already: SORRY STATE, MATERIAL WORLD, PUNK AND DESTROY, IRON LUNG RECORDS, GRAVE MISTAKE RECORDS, VINYL CONFLICT, SACRED BONES, ARMAGEDDON SHOP, FEEL IT RECORDS, DRIPPER WORLD, PAPERTOWN COMPANY, DEEP THOUGHTS JP, ACADEMY RECORDS, CRUEL NOISE RECORDS, BRAIN ABUSE, SIT AND SPIN, JOINT CUSTODY, DEAD TANK, and many more that are in the works.
In addition to this new release, I have added a few distributed items to the webstore lately:

THE WANKYS - S/T EP

Also, here's a few updates on Beach Impediment releases since we last spoke:
-The represses for the BLOOD PRESSURE - NEED TO CONTROL 12". ABSOLUT / PARANOID - JAWBREAKING MANGEL DEVASTATION Split 12" and CONCEALED BLADE - DEMO 2015 7" are in and going fast. These will not be repressed after this so nab em while ya can!
-After a good year and a half of production, the OMEGAS - POWER TO EXIST LP is finally at the plant! Shooting to have this one out by late winter 2016, stay tuned. In the meantime, you can hear songs from it here and here.
-And just for good measure / for those that don't like reading a bunch of crap, here's a list of what's coming up on B.I.R.:
OMEGAS - POWER TO EXIST
CONCEALED BLADE new LP
BLOOD PRESSURE new EP
+ some other goodies in the works that I can't let out of the bag yet.
That does it. As always, thanks for the support and talk soon!
-B.I.R.
PS: I wanted to say thank you to all who have reached out and lent a helping hand over the past few months in lieu of the death of a friend and longtime band mate, Brandon Ferrell. The outpouring of support for his widow and children in their greatest time of need has been awe inspiring to say the least and being a part of throwing the benefit gig earlier this month was exhausting yet ultimately rewarding (a special shout out to all the bands that traveled so far to be there and all the amazing record labels that provided records for the raffle, and the folks that did benefit shows in other cities!!!). Seeing friends from all over come together for that event along with all the people from the global hardcore punk community that contributed to the GoFundMe that Baybay set up for the Ferrell family (which is still up, feel free to contribute by clicking here) has been a reminder of the amazing company that I keep as a result of having been involved in all of this for so long. Much love to all of ya.
