8/20/21 - MUJERES PODRIDAS - MUERTE EN PARAÍSO 12" OUT NOW!!

MUJERES PODRIDAS - MUERTE EN PARAÍSO 12" OUT NOW + WARTHOG & PUBLIC ACID represses!

WOSSSSSOOOOPPPP? After maaaaaannnnnyyyyyy delays I'm elated to FINALLY have this one available to y'all! An end of summer banger if there ever was one as exhibited by the tunes and the wonderful cover art. Oh and finally got some much needed 7" represses too, wow! Let's get right to it, bud:

MUJERES PODRIDAS - MUERTE EN PARAÍSO 12"

Hailing from what could arguably be called one of the epicenters of great modern punk music, Austin's MUJERES PODRIDAS have broken their studio silence of a few years to deliver an absolute monster of a debut 12" slab. Considering the personnel in question here have served time in groups like CRIATURAS, VAASKA, KURRAKA in addition to already churning out two excellent releases in this current project, it comes as no surprise that "MUERTE EN PARAÍSO" exhibits 11 tracks of punk perfection with tight musicianship that can hold its own before being catapulted even further via the unmatched vocal delivery of Dru Molina, frantically spewing vitriolic acid in the Spanish language. Recorded at Deep Space 3 on Halloween of 2020 and mastered by Dan Randall at Mammoth Sound Mastering, each record comes in a glossy jacket adorned with stunning full color art and a fold out 11"x17" insert, both of which were designed by the bands own Phil Gonzalez.

There are 100 copies on CLEAR VINYL for mailorder that can be ordered here or here.

You can listen to the record here. Also check out the music video for the track "OVNI" here.

In repress news, the WARTHOG - S/T EP is finally available once again! Got a good grip of copies on a limited translucent blue vinyl which can be copped in the webstore of your choice. It's crazy to think it's been 5 years since this behemoth of a slab came out - time flies but also crawls at a snail's pace. UK / EU folks, you can get your copies from Ellis at Static Shock who has also repressed this modern day classic!

And the PUBLIC ACID - CONDMENATION EP is once again available to the masses! The repress took a lot longer than we expected and a fair amount of copies got claimed by wholesale customers during that wait but we have a decent grip of em available! In the event we run out by the time you click this email, the always dependable Sorry State got an ass load of em so mosey on down there should ya need to...

Speaking of represses, dog willing, I am hoping to have the following titles replenished within about a month's time:

CANAL IRREAL - S/T 12"
BEEX - THE EARLY YEARS: 1979-1981 12" (yellow vinyl, /250)
CONDOR - SINGLES 2017-2018 12" (white vinyl, /500)

I don't think I'm gonna do a mail out for those but keep an eye on your socials or whatever they say. In the meantime, if you got a keen eye / are good at Googling you can still find first press copies of the CANAL IRREAL and BEEX floating around here and there.

In distro news, I'm sure it's the 69th time I've sworn off acquiring anything new BUT I just had to get some copies of the new new SCREAMING HUMAN SCUM 7" because it's a ripper made by a ripper. I've also added loads of titles to the 12" and 7" budget bins and marked down some older B.I.R. titles in the name of making way for a metric shit ton of new releases in the coming months. Peep the Big Cartel for more info on all of this.

I think that about does it. Here's what's next on the agenda, definitely (hopefully lol) looking like the first two will be out before the year's end and I reckon we shall see regarding the others:

SOCIO LA DIFEKTA - KRESKI EP
GENTLEMAN JESSE - LOSE EVERYTHING LP
MERCENARY - DISCOGRAPHY 12"
PEACE DECAY 12"
GRAVEN IMAGE - DISCOGRAPHY 12"
RED CROSS - NO MESSAGE: 1981-1982 12" (no, not that RED CROSS, this is pre WHITE CROSS)
WHITE CROSS - DISCOGRAPHY 2x12"

+ some other assorted bangers TBA

Much love! Please keep staying safe and making informed and intelligent decisions for the sake of those in our respective communities that depend on us to do so.

-B.I.R.
